Adam Vargyas has spent the last eight years working in the nonprofit sector in Sacramento, California. He spent six years running programs and fundraising at a classic car museum before joining Sierra Service Project as Director of Development in March of 2019. Adam began volunteering for SSP as an incoming high school freshman in 2000, and has had close ties with the organization ever since. In his 2.5 years on SSP's central office staff, Adam has overseen the development and evolution of the fundraising program, particularly changes to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adam holds a bachelor's degree in history from the California State University at San Bernardino. He met his wife serving on SSP summer staff in August of 2007, and they have been married since June of 2016.
