Nancy Lee is the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity South Carolina. Nancy utilizes her position to strengthen advocacy for affordable homeownership, generate statewide partnerships, enhance recognition of housing’s economic and societal impacts, and facilitate opportunities to increase the number of families in South Carolina who have access to safe and decent homes. As a nonprofit executive with 16 years of service to local, state, and national causes, Nancy is well-versed in the intersection of health, education, workforce development, wealth-building, and housing. Her work with Habitat began locally with Richmond Metropolitan Habitat (VA), followed by Charleston Habitat (SC), and now impacts communities throughout 46 counties in South Carolina. She is actively serves on several advisory groups, such as the ReFrame Association Advocacy Task Force, South Carolina Home Attainability Forum, Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Regional Housing Coalition, and Together SC Advocacy Allies Leadership Team. She has presented on nonprofit and housing issues at Wake Forest University, Virginia’s Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service Organizations, Furman University, Habitat for Humanity Virginia, the South Carolina Housing Attainability Forum, and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s Workforce Symposium. Professional work has been featured in local and national media outlets, including the Associated Press, The Washington Post, US News, Fox Business, People.com, Nonprofit Sector News, Builder Magazine, HUD.gov, and The Chronicle of Philanthropy. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Furman University.
